Futaba Manufacturing is a global leading automotive supplier with a reputation for engineering excellence and world-class efficiency. We are looking for Manufacturing Operatives to join our team based in Dove Valley Park, Foston, Derby.

As part of the role you will be responsible for the following:

• Meeting production targets and deadlines of customers.
• Completion of daily equipment checks.
• Complete in process checks to customer requirements
• Manufacturing, labelling and packaging of product
• Ensure Product quality
• Daily use of fixtures and associated gauges as required
• To maintain the work area to the highest possible standards of cleanliness
• React quickly to operational/Production changes to minimise downtime
• Complete production documentation required

We offer fast paced manufacturing roles that will be on rotating shifts each week, ranging from 6am-2pm and 3:15pm-11.15PM. the ideal candidates will be a team player that has the ability to work to a set standard with a quality focused mind. Overtime is compulsory and paid, overtime will depend on the business’s needs and there is an option for voluntary overtime as well as weekend and bank holiday overtime. 

You will start your Futaba journey with an induction to understand more about the business and its history and then learn about the health and safety standards and procedures. Once the initial training is complete, we will give you a tour of the facilities and then get you paired up with a trainer to help you achieve your goals, with 1 to 1 support throughout your training period. the training will help you to understand the loading components process for the production line, the quality checking procedure and how to work towards your daily targets. After 3 months of successful working, you will be offered a 12-month contract.

Due to the location of the plant, you will need to have access to a vehicle. At the interview stage, your right to work will need to be provided and your English proficiency tested.
