Our Support Services teams
Clerical and Administration
We’re the team behind FMUK’s day-to-day operations. Keeping the business running by supporting everyone, from our commercial and logistics teams to projects and reception. Join us and you could be greeting visitors as the face of our business. You might be in one of our warehouses, checking stock, getting paperwork right and sending out the right parts to the right customers at the right time. Or you may be working with our engineering teams, keeping them up-to-date with any changes to customer requirements. Whatever your role, it’s about giving the best customer service to everyone – clients, colleagues and visitors.
Our business depends on winning and retaining commercially viable business. That’s where this team comes in. It’s our role to identify potential new clients, develop bids and quotations and win new business. It’s all about being commercially-aware and customer-focused. Being able to build positive, long-standing customer relationships. Negotiating and agreeing commercial contracts. And making sure every contract is profitable by analysing, revenue, pricing and costs. So, join this team and you’ll play a major role in securing a successful future for our business.
Join our Finance team in Burnley and you’ll play a key role in making sure that our daily, weekly, monthly and annual finances are accurate and up-to-date. It’s vital work, ensuring that everything from purchasing and invoicing to our payroll and tax returns are managed effectively. You might be liaising with Futaba’s Japanese HQ, providing management information to support the day-to-day running of the business. Or you could be making sure our people get paid, or overseeing contracts. Whatever your role, you’ll help to keep us financially successful.
Health & Safety
Health and safety are vital to our business. Join us and you’ll be helping to reduce costs, improve productivity and make all our sites healthier and safer places to work. We’re involved in everything from monitoring risks and hazards to carrying out safety inspections and creating relevant policies and controls. Advising and training our people in all aspects of health and safety, to ensuring we stay compliant with relevant legislation. First aid to fire marshalling. Whatever your role, you’ll play a key role in keeping our people healthy, safe and happy at work.

Our reputation is built on meeting our customers’ needs every time. And the Planning team plays a vital role in this, planning production, resources and materials to ensure we deliver. It’s about analysing and understanding customer requirements and planning effectively to meet them. This involves planning production and scheduling deliveries of the right materials. It involves reducing waste in terms of people’s time, as well as materials, by managing internal and external resources effectively. And it involves constantly monitoring performance and making adjustments to meet customer needs.
Purchasing and Stores
Understanding business needs, controlling costs and making sure we have the parts and materials when we need them. That’s the role of this team. Join us and you’ll help to ensure that the business has everything it needs, when it needs it, at the right cost. We find the best suppliers for the parts and consumables the business needs, negotiate the best price and manage these crucial relationships. At the same time, we keep an eye on stock levels and the use of consumables, so we can schedule deliveries, while keeping waste to a minimum.
Quality and Laboratory
Delivering a quality product to our customers every time is what sets Futaba apart. As one of our Quality Engineers, you’ll work closely with our customers, creating relevant quality documentation and agreeing control measures and test schedules. While our Systems Engineers promote a quality culture and develop the relevant quality systems that ensure we’re always meeting our customers’ needs. Our Quality Coordinators play a major role in promoting a quality culture and ensuring we have the relevant systems we need to continually monitor the quality of our work and our products. And our Quality Checkers are at the heart of this, continuously checking product quality so we meet our customers’ needs. Together, the team make sure that we always meet our customers’ expectations and deliver on their needs.
